Spaceships was founded in 2004 and offers campervans in Europe, New Zealand and Australia. The vehicles combine the advantages of driving a car with a comfortable camping option: compact and efficient. In addition to convenient one-way rentals, the rental company also offers a free transfer from 21 rental days.
The campervans can be rented from the age of 18 and each includes a small fridge and a gas cooker.
In New Zealand you will find two Spaceships stations, in Auckland and in Christchurch. Both locations offer four different vehicles each, which are licensed for 2-4 people and have a double bed. The rating is based on the experience of our staff / product managers, who used different factors as criteria. A 5-star rental company offers exceptional service (e.g. linen change, personal briefing on pick-up, transfer, insurance services) and new vehicles with high-quality equipment (proper bedding, glassware, etc.). A 4-star rental company offers good service and high-quality equipment. However, the vehicles may be somewhat older (up to 4 years). A 3-star rental company offers good service, but no great extra services included. The equipment is very good, but the dishes may be plastic or sleeping bags may be issued instead of bed linen. The vehicles are older than 4 years but still in good condition.
