Experience Spain by motorhome
Approximately 20 pick-up points are spread across the country. A huge selection for all those who want to explore Spain's most beautiful landscapes and cities by motorhome. Almost all stations are located in coastal towns - but one is inland, close to the capital Madrid. The metropolis is one of many that can be visited before or after a motorhome tour.
There is a lot to see in the city: There is definitely no shortage of historical and even royal buildings and a wide range of things to do in Madrid. To visit the Royal Palace - Palacio Real - or the beautiful Catedral de Santa María la Real de la Almudena and many other buildings worth seeing, for example, you should definitely plan a day or two. There are also good shopping opportunities in the city. The Gran Via in particular, a huge shopping street, has everything to delight shopping fans.
The church building of the Sagrada Familia or the huge Park Güell built by Anton Gaudi are two of the many attractions that visitors can visit in the Catalan city. There are many more cities that represent Spain's many facets when travelling by motorhome. Valencia, Malaga and La Coruña are just a few of them.
While some like to discover Spain's cities for themselves, others are drawn to the great outdoors. Thanks to the Mediterranean climate, the Iberian Peninsula is regularly blessed with good weather almost everywhere. Andalusia's coastal landscapes are particularly popular in the hot south. In addition to the cities of Malaga and Seville, the harbour city of Almeria is a kind of insider tip. Gentle hills characterise the rest of Andalusia.
Inland, the Castilla-La Mancha region is well worth a visit. The region gained particular fame through the character Don Quixote. The eleven windmills of Consuegra will take you back in time to the 16th century. Numerous other historical sites and medieval buildings can be found in the region. A little further east, another coastal region is particularly popular: the Costa Blanca is home to golden sandy beaches.
A few hundred kilometres further north is the Costa Brava. This area is particularly popular with young travellers. Places such as Lloret de Mar or Calella are well known among party people. Nevertheless, there are also numerous quiet, secluded places in the region that guarantee relaxation and the finest beach feeling. Barcelona can also be reached quickly from there. The same applies to the Picos de Europa National Park in the north of Spain.
At the other end of the country, on the Atlantic coast not far from the border with Portugal, lies the Costa de la Luz. This is also home to absolute dream beaches. So there is more than enough choice for all those who want to soak up the sun by the sea while exploring Spain in a motorhome.

Alicante: Your start on the Costa Blanca
Alicante is the shining centre of the "White Coast". With its imposing castle, elegant promenade & mild climate, it's the ideal place to pick up your camper and immediately switch into Spanish holiday mode.
🚐 Why start here?
- Top connections: The airport is one of the most important in Spain & is strategically located for campervan trips to the south or north.
- A year-round destination: Thanks to its microclimate, Alicante is one of the best places in Europe to escape winter.
- Variety: The choice is yours: endless sandy beaches right on your doorstep or varied mountain ranges in the hinterland.
📍 Destinations within striking distance
- Elche: A UNESCO World Heritage Site awaits you just 20 minutes away: a gigantic palm grove that gives you a real oasis feeling.
- Guadalest: A spectacular mountain village perched like an eagle's nest above a turquoise-blue reservoir - the journey there is particularly fun in a campervan.
- Calpe: Drive north to the "Peñón de Ifach", the mighty rock in the sea that looks like a small Gibraltar.
- Torrevieja: Visit the pink salt lakes (Las Salinas) in the south - a unique natural phenomenon & great photo motif.
👥 Ideal for...
- Sun-seekers: The Costa Blanca lives up to its name & offers plenty of light.
- Overwinterers: Many "snowbirds" start their long-term rentals here for the cold months.
- Families: Shallow water, wide beaches & many amusement parks (such as Terra Mítica) nearby make the region very child-friendly.
