Experience Poland by motorhome
However, the main attraction of the landscape is undoubtedly the long Baltic Sea coast. The Slowinski National Park should not be missing from this list. Among other things, it consists of a dune landscape. Even the highest sand dune in Europe - at over forty metres high - can be found here. Extensive white sandy beaches round off the rich diversity of the national park.
Gdansk is an attractive city just a two-hour drive to the east. Many visitors consider it to be one of the most beautiful cities in Poland. Bordering Gdansk to the north is Sopot, which is no less worth a visit. The Baltic seaside resort can be described as downright pompous. For example, the longest wooden pier in Europe juts out into the Baltic Sea at this location. Well-kept parks and lively squares ensure a pleasant holiday feeling. A visit to the town of Kolberg is no less recommended. It is located a little further west and also has attractive Baltic beaches. This town is particularly characterised by its historic town centre and interesting architecture. The impressive 17th century lighthouse dominates the harbour. Kolberg, which is artistically illuminated in many places, is particularly impressive in the evening with its flair.
A little Hollywood feeling can be found in Misdroy. Not only is the town a favourite destination for film and TV stars, mainly Polish. There is also a genuine 'walk of fame' in the streets of the town. On the waterfront, a long and lively pier is a suitable destination for a long walk on the beach.

Krakow: Royal City & Gateway to the Tatra Mountains
Krakow is the secret capital of Poland & one of the most beautiful cities in Eastern Europe. Pick up your campervan in the shadow of Wawel Castle, enjoy the vibrant student life & set off from here directly into the spectacular mountain world of the High Tatras.
🚐 Why start here?
- South gateway: You are strategically located in the south of Poland. The mountains, Slovakia & the Czech Republic are just a stone's throw away.
- Price-performance ratio: Take advantage of the favourable prices in Poland to fill your camper fridge to the brim before setting off on your big tour.
- Cultural density: The UNESCO Old Town & the Jewish quarter of Kazimierz offer world-class culture before you dive into nature.
📍 Destinations within striking distance
- Zakopane & High Tatras: Poland's "winter capital" is just two hours to the south. A paradise for hikers with alpine scenery, wooden houses & hearty food. Wieliczka Salt Mine: A huge underground city of salt with chapels & chandeliers - just outside Krakow & absolutely unique.
- Ojców National Park: The smallest national park in Poland is only 20 km away. Expect bizarre limestone cliffs, caves & the "Eagle's Nest" castles on the cliffs.
- The Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial: About an hour to the west is this important place of remembrance, which many travellers combine with a visit.
👥 Ideal for...
- Mountain lovers: If you love the Alps but prefer something more pristine & affordable, you'll love the Tatra Mountains.
- Budget campers: Camping fees, food & petrol are often cheaper here than in the west.
- History fans: Krakow breathes history on every corner - from the Middle Ages to the Second World War.
